SingTel GPRS/EDGE on Nexus One..!

Alright. After me getting my Nexus One i was searching through the Internet for GPRS setting for my Nexus One for SingTel. I couldn't find it online. So, I tried contacting SingTel customer care and they said my mobile is not listed in their server and I must visit their office. And, once i did that they still couldn't get me connect me to GPRS.

I was vexed and on the verge of shifting back to N82 and shelf this. I browse a lot. So, i decided to change the setting myself by using common Sense.

So all I did was took all the datas from N82. Here is how i did it and the steps -

1) Go to Settings
2) Select Wireless & networks
3) Select Mobile Networks
4) Click Access Point
5) And now click on the menu. ( Menu is the second touch sensitive button from left, after the back key.)
6) Click on new APN ( APN-Access Point Name)
7) Fill in following details
Name: SingTel hiCard
APN: hicardapndroid
proxy: 165.21.42.84
port:8080
Username: 65IDEAS
password:IDEA
MCC:525
MNC:01

Fine. this is all i did and it worked perfectly for me. And, to stop GPRS I use APNdroid to stop my GPRS/EDGE/3G. That is an free app.

Again, for M1 and StarHub people. Im sorry that I cant help you. You check your previous mobile settings and pick data from there and use it in your G1. Sorry for you guys.

Do comment if you need help.

Happy Surfing.
